Georgia: Lottery Deal Gives Post Office a Power Play

For reasons that remain obscure, the Georgia lottery company (GLC), which holds a 15-year license for all lottery games in Georgia, decided in August to give the government a 70 percent control in the business. Georgian Post Office, in turn, has held a five-year management rights of the company.
